Life & Health insurance strategy intern analyzing competitors, market trends, and business opportunities at TD. Supporting strategic reporting, business cases, newsletters, and cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and analysis on industry trends and individual insurance companies using internal and external information sources
Develop competitor profiles covering strategy, strengths and weaknesses, key products, market share, and expected actions
Develop specialized insights reporting presentations supporting business strategy and decisions
Support competitive updates for investor relations and executive updates
Support assessment of new opportunities and creation of business cases
Assist with developing and launching monthly newsletters
Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Sales Distribution, and Marketing teams on internal strategies and initiatives
Present competitive findings to support organizational growth
Provide input into continuous optimization of TDI Life & Health processes
Assist with planning team meetings and events
Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a graduate degree in Business, Finance, or related field
Strong analytical skills and business acumen
Ability to conduct research on a variety of topics
Ability to analyze financial and non-financial information
Ability to synthesize information into clear and concise analysis and recommendations
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to influence business partners
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Demonstrated attention to detail
Previous experience in Insurance and knowledge of Life & Health insurance products would be an asset
