About the role
- Cloud Engineer building Infrastructure as Code and observability platforms for TD’s banking systems. Supporting Azure, GCP, private cloud, and enterprise monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions utilizing DevOps pipelines
- Deploy Infrastructure as Code to build Observability platforms
- Enable Dynatrace, Datadog, and Splunk observability solutions for Azure, GCP, and Private Cloud platforms
- Use Terraform, Saltstack, and Ansible orchestration tools
- Provide technical and consulting support to project teams
- Deploy infrastructure as code with varying degrees of supervision
- Act as a subject matter expert
- Analyze business and technology challenges and recommend IT solutions and services
- Resolve issues crossing multiple systems or departments that may affect application stability
- Track open issues and issue resolutions
- Support monitoring coverage and application availability across multiple environments
Requirements
- Capable of applying DevOps practices to develop Infrastructure/Platform as Code using Saltstack, Terraform, and Ansible
- Fluent in writing effective and scalable Python code
- Experience with Java, .NET, or NodeJS
- Expertise in containerization with Kubernetes
- Ability to write Shell scripts
- 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of related experience as a Cloud Engineer with sound knowledge of Azure services
- Skilled in system-level architecture, such as Linux or Windows, or past system engineer/administrator experience
- Strong background in system design, development, architecture, and application deployment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues related to infrastructure and software
- Experience with Enterprise Delivery Pipeline and CADP preferred
- Experience developing self-service infrastructure provisioning, delivery pipelines, log and monitoring services in Private Cloud (VMWare) and Public Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) preferred
- Azure/GCP Cloud certification preferred
