About the role

  • DevOps Advisor implementing CI/CD pipelines and cloud optimizations for the City of Québec. Collaborating with teams on security, infrastructure automation, and modern application strategies.

Responsibilities

  • TEHORA is currently seeking a DevOps Advisor to support the City of Québec in the automation, integration, and continuous deployment of its applications and infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to modernizing development and operations processes.
  • Without being exhaustive, the services and deliverables the successful candidate will be expected to provide include:
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Automate the deployment and configuration of infrastructure (Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates)
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to adopt DevOps best practices
  • Optimize cloud environments (Azure, AWS) for performance and scalability
  • Ensure the security and compliance of pipelines and infrastructure
  • Train teams on DevOps tools and methodologies
  • Document processes, scripts, and architectures
  • Participate in application modernization (containers, microservices)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure administration, including at least 2 years in cloud environments
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert; AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (an asset)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Proficiency with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Innovative mindset and solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Rigour and strong organizational skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Analytical synthesis skills, methodological rigour, and client orientation
