About the role
- Digital Marketing & Communications Associate managing digital presence across web and social media channels for Telesat's growth. Collaborating with teams to create content and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the management of Telesat's corporate website using WordPress content management system.
- Work with other members of the marketing and communications team to strategize and create impactful, high-performing written and multimedia content.
- Co-create, schedule, and monitor social media content on LinkedIn and X supporting business objectives.
- Develop compelling social media copy and collaborate on creating visual assets.
- Monitor website performance and user experience, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve search visibility and organic traffic across platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting marketing and communications initiatives, preferably in the technology, telecommunications, aerospace, or defence industries.
- Creative thinker with a keen eye for visual storytelling and digital content creation.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy, and audience engagement.
- Demonstrated success executing social media and content marketing strategies.
- Experience managing corporate websites using WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Experience with SEO best practices and web analytics tools. Knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and search performance measurement.
- Exposure to marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with AI-driven search optimization and emerging digital marketing technologies.
- Familiarity with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Experience in basic photography and/or videography would be considered an asset.
