About the role

Technical Manager building future network reliability through SRE practices at TELUS. Leading a team to develop automation solutions and enhance operational efficiency through innovation.

Responsibilities

Guide the establishment and operationalization of SRE practices and discipline within TELUS
Facilitate cross-functional conversations with technical and business stakeholders
Develop and deploy automation solutions and infrastructure-as-code capabilities
Coach and develop your team of Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration

3+ years of technical leadership experience managing engineering teams in reliability, operations, infrastructure, or similar roles
Deep expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and methodologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong background in automation and infrastructure-as-code
Demonstrated experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and driving operational excellence initiatives
Understanding of AI/ML applications in operations
Experience in telecommunications, network operations, or large-scale distributed systems
Proficiency with monitoring, observability, and alerting platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Grafana, or similar tools)
Advanced knowledge of English is required
