About the role
- Business Information Security Officer assessing security risks in acquired organizations. Strengthening TELUS security posture during critical acquisition phases and managing internal security processes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate security risks in acquired organizations and recommend solutions
- Assess the security readiness of organizations TELUS plans to acquire or has acquired
- Oversee the development and maturity of the acquisition security program
- Provide guidance to teams across TELUS regarding compliance and security architecture
- Manage multiple concurrent projects independently, delivering actionable recommendations
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in information security
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering or related discipline
- Proficient in developing and maintaining documentation for security compliance
- Hands-on experience with IT security assessments, information security consulting, or IT risk analysis
- Professional certifications in security, risk management, or auditing (such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM)
- Advanced knowledge of English required, experience interacting in English with clients and colleagues.
