About the role

  • Associate Territory Manager selling Terumo interventional medical devices to healthcare professionals. Supporting clinical evaluations, product education, customer relationships, and territory sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Call on current and potential customers to promote and sell Terumo Interventional Systems products
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue targets
  • Support execution of sales strategies and techniques
  • Conduct sales and product presentations
  • Educate customers on product use
  • Develop and maintain clinical and technical product knowledge, including competitive products
  • Conduct assigned evaluations and cover endovascular cases
  • Educate customers through in-services
  • Identify and respond to competitive threats
  • Communicate market intelligence and competitor activity to Territory Managers and Region Manager
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through personal visits and telephone contact
  • Interact with Customer Administration, Logistics, Marketing and Technical Support
  • File weekly, monthly and competitive product reports
  • Attend trade shows and conventions
  • Maintain compliance with TMC Quality Systems, Field Inventory Management policies, Health Canada, FDA regulations, international guidelines and Terumo policies
  • Recognize and forward customer complaints and adverse events to Quality Assurance
  • Ensure promotional messaging and materials are clinically accurate and compliant with AdvaMed guidelines
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years’ related experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in the cardiovascular space, or medical device
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years’ business-to-business sales experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven record of sales excellence
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Personal automobile with an active vehicle insurance policy
  • Strong presentation and customer service skills
  • Ability to execute a solutions-oriented sales approach
  • Ability to understand and support endovascular medical procedures
  • Ability to engage in technical conversations with physicians and staff regarding medical procedures and proper product usage
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, specifically the vascular and venous systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and iPad navigation
  • Ability to represent Terumo and its products professionally
  • For positions with responsibilities in Quebec, bilingual French and English proficiency
