About the role
- Legal Editor summarizing and indexing judgments for Thomson Reuters’ digital legal products. Writing clear headlines and supporting editorial publication across Quebec and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Summarize selected judgments accurately and clearly
- Index summaries according to current classification schemes and adjust them as needed to ensure compliance with applicable laws and established legal principles
- Select high‑value judgments for publication in digital products
- Create impactful content by writing attention‑grabbing headlines
- Occasionally contribute to the editorial review and production of various publications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B.) or a diploma in legal techniques
- Exceptional written French
- Broad, cross‑disciplinary understanding of the law
- Outstanding ability to synthesize information, combined with strong attention to detail
- Technological adaptability and a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence
- Bilingualism (French/English) – an asset
