About the role
- AI Product Concept Designer creating sellable wooden home décor concepts and photorealistic interior visuals. Styling products for a premium DTC e-commerce brand’s website and launches.
Responsibilities
- Research trends, competitors, and customer preferences to develop fresh, commercially promising home décor designs
- Use AI image-generation tools to visualize and refine new physical product ideas
- Place existing and new products into beautiful, realistic AI-generated room settings across styles such as Japandi, organic modern, and coastal
- Produce high-quality lifestyle images accurately representing products' shape, material, color, and texture
- Collaborate with designers to refine concepts and prepare products and visuals for launch
- Identify emerging interior trends, product categories, and creative ideas with strong sales potential
Requirements
- Excellent aesthetic taste and strong understanding of interior design, styling, colors, materials, and composition
- Advanced AI image-generation skills using tools such as Nano Banana, Flux, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or similar
- Ability to create photorealistic interior scenes while maintaining accurate product details
- Strong creative thinking and ability to develop original, commercially appealing product concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality interior visuals, product concepts, AI-generated imagery, or related creative work
- Highly organized and reliable, with ability to manage multiple projects
- Fluent English
- Preferred: experience in home décor, interior styling, furniture, or lifestyle products
- Preferred: experience developing concepts for physical products
- Preferred: understanding of US interior design trends and customer preferences
- Preferred: experience creating lifestyle or product imagery for e-commerce websites
- Preferred: familiarity with wood and natural finishes
- Nice to have: experience with manufacturers, product designers, or suppliers
- Nice to have: knowledge of product feasibility, production constraints, and shipping considerations
- Nice to have: experience with Pinterest, Instagram, or other platforms for interior and product trend research
- Must provide a portfolio, list of regularly used AI image-generation tools, hourly rate, and availability
