About the role

  • Client development coordinator supporting client relationships, referrals, research, reporting, and events at Toronto law firm. Hybrid role coordinating business development initiatives and stakeholder follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide project support for client and business development initiatives
  • Target new client opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Coordinate logistics, track activities and action items, prepare research and reporting, and support timely follow-up
  • Assist with execution of the Client Feedback Program, including tracking discussion notes and action items and conducting follow-ups
  • Maintain a regular pipeline of client touchpoints and feedback sessions
  • Conduct research and compile information for client development initiatives and event logistics
  • Gather and organize information on top clients, including financial data, pitches, top matters, relevant news, public annual meetings, and other client information
  • Support planning and execution of custom networking, social, General Counsel dinner, IBA conference, practice-focused, alumni, and other events
  • Support rollout of the Client Relationship Management Program and practice group meetings
  • Set up team touchpoints, take minutes, collect and manage action items, and facilitate follow-ups
  • Contribute observations and ideas to improve coordination, tracking, reporting, and follow-up
  • Coordinate and support the Client Referral Program
  • Maintain internal databases tracking business development and client development activities
  • Prepare trackers, contact lists, event records, client team lists, and action items
  • Support other client and business development efforts, including marketing materials

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in a business or marketing related program, or equivalent experience to successfully complete the essential requirements of the role
  • 2–3 years of previous related experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services firm
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to establish and build trust-based working relationships with stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion
  • Resourcefulness and ability to independently identify and source missing information
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required
