About the role
- Assistant Controller preparing working papers and overseeing accounting for Treewalk’s public-company clients. Supporting financial reporting across diverse industries from a flexible Vancouver-based role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various working papers
- Oversee and review full-cycle accounting
- Complete ad hoc projects unique to respective clients
- Own specific client files
- Support clients across e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, cannabis, mining, and biotechnology industries
- Provide financial reporting and accounting support to public companies
Requirements
- Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
- Assurance experience at a public accounting firm
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and team members
- Open and effective communication
- Strong attention to accuracy and reconciliation
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well under deadline pressure
- Interest in varied work
- Strong technological skills
- Ability to multitask and manage many different things at once
