About the role

  • Application Engineer responsible for delivering technical support and developing proposals for Trelleborg products. Collaborates with sales and customers to ensure satisfaction and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support and proposals to sales and customers
  • Collect and analyze information from customers
  • Create technical proposals demonstrating how products fit customer requirements
  • Develop and deliver technical sales presentations
  • Respond to technical questions regarding products, services, and capabilities
  • Manage technical prints and documents using Teamcenter
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure proper solutions are offered
  • Assist in achieving Sales Growth targets and Profitability Goals
  • Process and manage engineering projects in a timely manner
  • Conduct joint sales visits with Sales Engineers
  • Build customer relationships and strategic partnerships
  • Provide market feedback and intelligence for use by sales team
  • Conduct internal training sessions on products and technical topics
  • Maintain compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in engineering related field
  • Minimum of 4 Year College Engineering or Technology degree (Mechanical or related technical discipline preferred)
  • Strong understanding of technical prints and terminology
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of rubber/plastic products, seals and bearings is beneficial
  • Proven proficiency and capabilities with 3D solid modeling software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage projects with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of total customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven proficiency and experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven proficiency and experience in the use of business operational software (CRM, Oracle JDE, SAP)
