About the role
- Bilingual roadside assistance agent supporting U-Haul customers through inbound and outbound calls. Resolving roadside issues remotely while meeting safety and service-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming customer calls for roadside assistance
- Initiate outbound calls to customers, roadside assistance service providers, and other personnel
- Provide support and expertise to help customers resume their move
- Prioritize customer safety
- Follow established methods and procedures
- Handle files with calm urgency, professionalism, and care
- Meet quality-related metrics and goals
- Complete self-motivated education through U-Haul University and supplementary eLearning
- Assist customers within the first week of employment
- Perform customer interactions with instructor support during initial education
- Complete fast-paced, hands-on instruction with a set schedule
- Begin performing some job duties with customers from the first day
- Work from home in a private, quiet workspace
Requirements
- Must be fluent in both English and French
- Complete Tech Skills and Game Criteria Assessments
- Ability to express sympathy, empathy, and compassion
- Critical thinking and adaptability
- Intermediate keyboarding and computer skills
- Active and attentive listening
- Ability to type while talking; 40 WPM or higher is a plus
- Ability to formulate sentences through written text
- Ability to navigate and use multiple computer programs at once
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- Clear speaking voice
- General knowledge of U.S. and Canada geography
- General knowledge of mapping a location using various programs or applications
- Willingness to incorporate feedback to improve performance
- Must be available on the weekend, either Saturday and Sunday
- Must work required holidays
- Must work from a private, quiet workspace at home
- Personal home computer meeting the technical requirements
- Windows 11 operating system
- Minimum 16GB RAM
- CPU benchmark score of at least 6,000
- SSD with at least 5GB free space
- Bluetooth capability enabled

- Internet speeds of at least 50MB download and 5MB upload, with ping under 100
