About the role

  • Digital Communications Coordinator creating graphics, videos, and multimedia content for University of Maryland Global Campus. Managing digital assets, editorial execution, and social media engagement support across remote North America.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality graphics, short-form videos, and multimedia assets for social media, email, web, and internal channels
  • Ensure visual content aligns with UMGC brand standards and drives audience engagement
  • Concept, shoot, and edit video content optimized for digital platforms and tailored to different audiences and channels
  • Manage visual assets within the editorial calendar
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Prepare content for publishing across social media and web platforms
  • Support or become cross-trained on basic community management, including monitoring and responding to engagement through tools such as Sprout Social

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, and/or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • 3–5 years of Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, and/or related field experience required
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, video production, and digital content creation for web, email, and social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools
  • Familiarity with Sprout Social or comparable social media scheduling and analytics tools
  • Basic working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar web content management system (CMS)
  • Ability to perform basic photo and video editing
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
