Responsibilities
Create high-quality graphics, short-form videos, and multimedia assets for social media, email, web, and internal channels
Ensure visual content aligns with UMGC brand standards and drives audience engagement
Concept, shoot, and edit video content optimized for digital platforms and tailored to different audiences and channels
Manage visual assets within the editorial calendar
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Prepare content for publishing across social media and web platforms
Support or become cross-trained on basic community management, including monitoring and responding to engagement through tools such as Sprout Social
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, and/or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
3–5 years of Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, and/or related field experience required
Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, video production, and digital content creation for web, email, and social media platforms
Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools
Familiarity with Sprout Social or comparable social media scheduling and analytics tools
Basic working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar web content management system (CMS)
Ability to perform basic photo and video editing
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
