About the role
- Managing Director growing Unit8's Data & AI consulting business in Montreal. Originating DACH engagements, shaping transformations, and ensuring delivery creates measurable client value.
Responsibilities
- Build and convert a pipeline of high-value opportunities in the DACH market, primarily in pharma, insurance, or chemicals
- Source, shape, and close high-value engagements and new-logo client relationships in the DACH region
- Translate complex business problems into concrete Data & AI solutions
- Identify where value can be created and ensure teams build toward it
- Lead and shape complex, tech-enabled transformations from early problem definition through scaled delivery
- Ensure technology choices serve business outcomes
- Act as senior point of contact for key clients throughout delivery
- Keep technical execution anchored to business value
- Challenge clients on scope, pace, and ambition
- Work with engineering and data science teams, providing business context, removing blockers, and coaching them
- Bridge senior data-science expertise and C-suite strategic conversations
- Raise delivery standards and hold teams accountable
Requirements
- Significant experience in Data & AI consulting
- Clear and verifiable track record of personally originating and closing major client relationships
- Currently at Principal or Associate Partner / Director level, or equivalent, with commercial track record and client ownership
- Experience running complex, tech-enabled transformations from ambiguity to delivery, ideally at a top-tier global consultancy or specialist data & AI firm
- Ability to speak Tech and understand data architecture and AI sufficiently to raise delivery standards and earn engineers' respect
- Established network of senior client relationships in the DACH market, ideally in pharma, insurance, or chemicals
- Fluent in English and German; French is a meaningful advantage
- Comfortable traveling, including on-site engagements in the US for up to 5 weeks
