About the role

  • Program Specialist providing administrative and IT support to the Engineering Co-op Department at the University of Alberta, coordinating interview scheduling processes and team activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program-specific support to the Engineering Co-op Department
  • Handle the coordination of the daily activities of the front-line team
  • Be the primary coordinator for the Co-op interview scheduling process
  • Act as the contact for activities within Alfresco and training for new users of this electronic filing system
  • Maintain, enhance and develop processes for the Engineering Co-op program within the campusBRIDGE platform
  • Be the contact for IT-related issues in the Student Services, Co-op and Career Connections office

Requirements

  • Minimum of a diploma in a field related to Office Administration or Information Technology
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in a post-secondary environment
  • Advanced skills in Google Suite, Excel, and proficiency in other MS Office applications: strong keyboarding skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while managing competing priorities
  • Proven attention to detail essential with high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated technical ability using enterprise applications such as campusBRIDGE
  • Familiarity with University policies and procedures is an asset.
