About the role
- Senior Business Analyst supporting the University of Alberta’s ERP Modernization project. Leading requirements, process transformation, stakeholder alignment, and UAT across the university.
Responsibilities
- Lead assessment of current business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and transformation opportunities
- Elicit, analyze, and document complex business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design future-state processes and evaluate technical and operational solutions for feasibility and ROI
- Act as lead analyst, ensuring milestones are met and business value is realized
- Facilitate communication among executive leadership, department heads, and IT to ensure transparency and consensus on project scope
- Define acceptance criteria and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Modernization project
- Serve as liaison between business units and technical teams to align transformation projects with strategic goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis
- Proven track record in large-scale business transformation or change management projects
- Mastery of business modeling tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, and Miro
- Mastery of Agile/Waterfall methodologies
- Mastery of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Exceptional negotiation and facilitation skills
- Ability to translate technical jargon into plain English for non-technical stakeholders
- MBA or CBAP designation highly preferred
