About the role
- Senior QA automation engineer building testing infrastructure for Upgrade, a consumer-finance company. Creating agentic solutions, deployment services, and frameworks that improve engineering productivity.
Responsibilities
- Design and own automation framework for functional and performance testing.
- Build agents to automate existing QA/testing workflows and remove engineering friction.
- Build the applications and services that automation depends on, deploy them, and operate them in production environments.
- Take prototypes all the way by building demos, gathering feedback from user teams, and iterating until solutions are hardened, monitored, and running with matured quality.
- Identify gap areas in existing frameworks and tools, and iterate toward solutions that close them.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years building production software, with depth across test infrastructure, test frameworks, and developer tooling, plus working knowledge of platform engineering
- Proven experience building agentic solutions and test automation frameworks from the ground up, including design, shipment, iteration, and adoption
- Fluency with agentic coding tools, including orchestrating multiple agents and reviewing agent-generated pull requests
- Hands-on experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and managing deployment lifecycles
- Ability to independently take an ambiguous problem statement to a scoped, defensible solution
- English is required for all positions
