About the role

Senior QA automation engineer building testing infrastructure for Upgrade, a consumer-finance company. Creating agentic solutions, deployment services, and frameworks that improve engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

Design and own automation framework for functional and performance testing.
Build agents to automate existing QA/testing workflows and remove engineering friction.
Build the applications and services that automation depends on, deploy them, and operate them in production environments.
Take prototypes all the way by building demos, gathering feedback from user teams, and iterating until solutions are hardened, monitored, and running with matured quality.
Identify gap areas in existing frameworks and tools, and iterate toward solutions that close them.

5–7+ years building production software, with depth across test infrastructure, test frameworks, and developer tooling, plus working knowledge of platform engineering
Proven experience building agentic solutions and test automation frameworks from the ground up, including design, shipment, iteration, and adoption
Fluency with agentic coding tools, including orchestrating multiple agents and reviewing agent-generated pull requests
Hands-on experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and managing deployment lifecycles
Ability to independently take an ambiguous problem statement to a scoped, defensible solution
English is required for all positions
