About the role
- Quality Inspector managing quality assurance and control for BESS and Substation construction projects in Canada. Responsible for inspections, compliance, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage Quality activities on Valard’s BESS and Substation construction sites
- Conduct inspections of electrical, civil, and structural installations
- Implement Valard’s Quality Program and Quality Management System
- Compile Progressive Turnover Packages according to client requirements
- Execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities on sites
- Implement Quality Manual, project-specific Quality Plans, and Inspection and Test Plans
- Support project teams to ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with Clients, Engineers, and subcontractor Quality representatives
- Review assemblies and installations for compliance with specifications
- Document and track deficiencies and monitor corrective actions
- Maintain the Master Punch List and assemble QA/QC documentation packages
Requirements
- Post-Secondary education in a related field
- Demonstrated experience in Construction Quality Assurance / Quality Control position
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel to project sites across Canada
- Preferred: Power systems experience including Substations, BESS, Transmission, or Distribution
