Join a client's advanced manufacturing expansion in the GTA as an Equipment/Project Engineer, leading installation and launch of automated lines.
About the role
- Lead Engineer managing upgrade projects focusing on Valmet sensors and profilers. Collaborating with teams in North America and Finland to ensure project success.
Responsibilities
- Acts as the lead engineer on upgrade projects with specific emphasis on Valmet sensors and profilers
- Responsible for upgrade project specification, installation, startup and performance reporting
- Works closely with upgrade project manager to ensure customer satisfaction and project financial success
- Collaborates with others in NA and Finland as needed to implement upgrade projects
- Available to assist sales, training and/or help desk as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Paper Science or a related field
- 5 to 10 years’ experience, preferably in the paper industry or an industrial setting
- Strong working knowledge of Valmet DNA equipment
- Solid understanding of related processes & equipment
- Experience with Valmet Profilers and/or online measurement sensors is a plus
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
