Responsibilities
Oversee daily editorial operations to ensure timely publication of articles, news pieces, and features.
Manage and lead a team of editors and writers, ensuring content aligns with the brand’s editorial standards, voice, and SEO best practices.
Conduct content reviews, providing editorial feedback and guidance to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and originality.
Develop and maintain the editorial calendar, ensuring a balanced mix of content that aligns with trends, reader interests, and business objectives.
Work closely with senior leadership to execute the content strategy and drive traffic growth.
Track and report on content performance metrics using analytics tools identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Oversee editorial workflow, ensuring efficient processes from ideation to publication, including assigning tasks, managing deadlines, and maintaining communication with the team.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new content ideas and formats to keep our site fresh and engaging.
Assist in training new editorial staff and freelance writers, ensuring they understand the brand’s tone, style, and content guidelines.
Ensure compliance with editorial guidelines and standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in an editorial leadership role, preferably in the media or digital publishing industry.
Strong knowledge and passion for the travel industry, with a keen understanding of trends and news.
Excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail, with a proven ability to edit and produce high-quality content.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience in optimizing content for search engines.
Experience managing an editorial team, including full-time staff and freelance writers.
Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), editorial calendar tools, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
