About the role

DevOps Engineering Manager leading a team to improve SDLC at Vancity, Canada's largest Living Wage Employer. Collaborating across teams for reliable delivery of mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

Leading and developing a team of DevOps engineers by setting clear expectations, coaching for growth and fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, learning and continuous improvement.
Driving SDLC, DevOps and CI/CD strategy by designing, evolving and governing automated pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code and deployment standards across cloud and hybrid platforms.
Partnering cross‑functionally with SRE, Security, Architecture, QA, Product and ITSM teams to embed reliability, security and compliance into the solution delivery lifecycle.
Improving operational outcomes by reducing toil, improving deployment reliability and enabling faster, safer and more predictable delivery of services.

7+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, solution delivery or cloud engineering roles, including 5+ years in a people leadership or technical management role.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure/Azure DevOps and pipelines, automation and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
Relevant certifications, such as: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution while balancing delivery, reliability, and team wellbeing.
