About the role

Responsibilities
- Optimize client model classification schemes according to their sorting requirements
- Perform data pre-processing and select high-impact images and objects of interest for training
- Plan and coordinate the work of the external annotation partner
- Review and quality-control received annotations and update annotation guides
- Prepare training datasets and contribute to data storage management
- Launch model training runs, monitor results, and interpret evaluation metrics
- Improve data curation tools and annotation automation
- Collaborate with the AI research team to continuously improve data and training pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or a DEC (college diploma) in Computer Science combined with equivalent experience
- Experience in data processing for machine learning or image processing for automatic object classification
- Practical knowledge of Python for data work
- Understanding of training and evaluation processes for deep learning models in computer vision
- Excellent rigor and attention to detail
- Experience with annotation or data curation tools (CVAT or equivalent) — asset
- Experience with deep learning libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow) or the YOLO ecosystem — asset
- Experience coordinating with an external vendor or partner — asset
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies — asset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to coordinate the work of an external partner
- French required; knowledge of English is an asset
- Self-directed with strong judgment in prioritizing tasks
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
