Group Product Manager scaling shared services, APIs, workflows, and data capabilities for Wave’s small-business platform. Leading Product Managers and aligning technical investments with business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Define and lead the product vision, strategy, roadmap, OKRs, and success metrics for the Core Services group.
Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, and Data leaders to shape direction, guide technical and business trade-offs, and prioritize investments.
Own the Core Services orchestration layer across system, services, and data flows.
Identify reusable services, APIs, workflows, and data capabilities that reduce duplication and accelerate delivery.
Drive adoption of shared services through onboarding, enablement, documentation, and change management.
Define and monitor platform health metrics, including adoption, usage, reliability, performance, and return on investment.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers.
Align Product, Engineering, Data, Design, and business stakeholders around the platform vision.
Identify and leverage AI-enabled capabilities and workflows to improve product velocity and quality.
Foster continuous improvement and operational excellence through retrospectives, learning, coaching, and process refinement.
Requirements
Experience owning platform, infrastructure, API, developer tooling, data platform, or other highly technical products.
Strong technical fluency in distributed systems, platform architecture, service-oriented design, cloud or infrastructure concepts, and data foundations.
Ability to define product strategy, derive requirements, analyze trade-offs, and prioritize investments across multiple teams.
Experience translating complex technical platform investments into measurable business outcomes.
Strong people leadership experience, including leading Product Managers and developing talent.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong business acumen, including business-case development and evaluating trade-offs.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data-related field, or related discipline, or equivalent through education and relevant work experience.
8+ years of product management experience.
Minimum 2+ years leading product teams at the Group level or above.
