About the role
- Senior Data Scientist shaping Wealthsimple’s crypto experience through analytical rigor and cross-functional partnership. Collaborating on product and business decisions impacting millions of clients.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations to inform and shape product strategy, prioritization, and decision-making
- Develop metrics, data models, and analytical frameworks that improve how teams understand customer behaviour and business performance
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, growth, retention, and operational efficiency through data
- Translate complex business questions into clear recommendations and actionable insights
- Proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities that help the team focus on the highest-impact work
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to improve the quality, scalability, and usability of data foundations for the team
Requirements
- 5+ years experience working in data science, product analytics, experimentation, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using SQL and Python
- Ability to influence product or business decisions through data and clear communication
- Strong product thinking and the ability to connect customer behaviour to business outcomes
- Comfort working cross-functionally and building strong relationships across disciplines
- Familiarity with experimentation and causal inference methods
- Exposure to DBT or modern data modelling tooling
- Knowledge of fintech, investing, or crypto products
- Experience using AI tools to improve analysis, communication, or decision-making workflows
