About the role

  • Industrial Account Executive selling WM Canada’s environmental and hazardous waste services across Montreal. Managing customer revenue, territory sales plans, pricing, contracts, and regulatory support.

Responsibilities

  • Present the full line of WM environmental services to prospective customers and assigned accounts
  • Manage existing revenues and develop revenue opportunities within an established geographical territory
  • Meet or exceed sales goals for new industrial and hazardous waste business
  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external customers and collaborate with industrial sales team members
  • Maintain existing business, identify new waste streams and customers, and close event business opportunities
  • Drive pre-tax profits through pricing and contracting strategies
  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan for the assigned territory
  • Work with Technical Service Representatives on waste profiling, proposals, pricing, contracting, and regulatory updates
  • Identify local market dynamics and implement countermeasures to competitive campaigns, pricing deterioration, and regulatory changes
  • Assist with collecting receivables within the contracted period
  • Communicate competitive and market information to management
  • Maintain control of confidential information
  • Provide timely monthly sales reports, commissions, and expense reports
  • Attend industrial sales meetings and training classes
  • Perform special projects and other tasks assigned by the Industrial Sales Manager
  • Travel across the Montreal Area for client visits

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 3 years of industrial or hazardous waste sales work experience in addition to the education requirement
  • Bilingual French and English for Quebec applicants
  • Working knowledge of industrial and hazardous waste regulations, including RCRA, TSCA, and CERCLA
  • Superior sales and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel for client visits across the Montreal Area
  • Physically located in the Montreal area
  • CRM knowledge (Salesforce) preferred
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
