About the role
- Software Engineer in Workday's AI Platform team, delivering scalable features and leading infrastructure initiatives. Collaborate using public clouds like AWS and GCP for continuous deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver scalable features for the AI Platform
- Lead high-impact infrastructure initiatives
- Work with public clouds (e.g., IAAS, AWS, GCP)
- Architect consolidation of applications from multiple EKS clusters
- Design a global continuous deployment and configuration management system
- Lead rollout of ArgoCD across clusters
- Own and develop features including infrastructure as code
- Deploy and orchestrate containers in production environments
- Oversee implementation of distributed systems
- Collaborate with Tech Leads and AI Engineers
Requirements
- 7+ years of total software engineering or DevOps experience
- 5+ years focused specifically on Infrastructure Automation, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or release engineering in a Linux environment
- 4+ years managing Kubernetes in production
- Experience managing multi-cluster environments (10+ clusters or 500+ nodes)
- 4+ years using Terraform to manage public cloud resources (AWS/GCP)
- 2+ years designing GitOps workflows using ArgoCD
- 4+ years of professional programming experience in Python
- Proven track record of architecting distributed systems
- Experience building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that enforce security compliance (SOC2, FedRAMP)
