About the role
- Application Engineer providing technical support for municipal and industrial water solutions at Xylem. Collaborating with sales and engineering teams to deliver effective water and wastewater solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical sales support to consulting engineers, contractors, distributors and internal sales teams.
- Review drawings and specifications, perform hydraulic system analyses and recommend appropriate equipment.
- Support the preparation of bids, technical proposals and project documentation for municipal and industrial projects.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, project management and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines.
- Deliver technical presentations, training and seminars (lunch-and-learn sessions, client events, trade shows).
- Provide field technical support, including troubleshooting and site visits when required.
- Prepare technical drawings, concepts and equipment sizing to support project execution.
- Manage small technical projects and contribute to larger projects involving multiple teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or Chemical Engineering (or a related discipline)
- 3+ years of experience in the water/wastewater sector or a related engineering field
- Bilingual in French and English
- Member of a professional engineering association
- Ability to interpret plans, technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience collaborating with clients, contractors or consulting engineers
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
