About the role
- Assembler for electronics production, fabricating and inspecting circuit card assemblies and cable assemblies. 12-month contract, $18-21/hour.
Responsibilities
- The Assembler 1 performs work related to the production of electronics and associated products. Works in accordance with prescribed procedures. Fabricates and inspects printed circuit card assemblies, electrical/electronic sub-assemblies, and/or cable assemblies. Integrates fabricated assemblies into complete systems. Responsibilities include: preparing, pre-forming and installing components under supervision; understanding appropriate PPE and safe work procedures; inspecting assembled items for compliance to standards and drawings; following prescribed documentation and manufacturing procedures; using basic assembly hand tools/equipment; maintaining required paperwork; making basic decisions; keeping workspace clean and organized; working constructively in a team; demonstrating care and attention to detail; demonstrating basic knowledge of IPC standards. Other duties as required within the context of the role.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent. No experience required. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to continuous quality improvement and work process evolution. Interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. Manual dexterity. Ability to sit or stand for full shift. Nice to have: Prior experience in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience indicating attention to detail. Additional Requirements: Must be able to obtain clearances such a Reliability Status, Controlled Goods and/or Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification.
