About the role
- Cloud Architect Advisory (CAA) – SAP Basis role: act as trusted advisor for SAP cloud strategies, architecture, and migration. Remote contract position in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition opportunities. Provide architectural guidance for SAP landscape modernization, transformation, and cloud adoption initiatives. Advise customers on SAP technical architecture, migration strategies, and best practices. Support presales activities including customer workshops, solution presentations, and technical discussions. Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and solution proposals with appropriate SAP technology recommendations. Recommend high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity strategies for SAP environments. Collaborate with solution architects, sales teams, delivery teams, and customer stakeholders to define optimal SAP cloud solutions. Participate in architecture reviews and technical assessments. Provide advisory support for SAP upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives. Present technical solutions to business and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7–12+ years of overall SAP technology experience. Extensive experience in SAP Basis Administration. Experience supporting SAP cloud transformation initiatives. Experience in SAP Consulting, Solution Advisory, Presales, or Technical Architecture roles. Experience working with enterprise SAP landscapes. Strong understanding of cloud-hosted SAP environments. Strong expertise in SAP Basis, SAP HANA Administration and Architecture, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Upgrades and Migration Strategies, SAP Technical Architecture, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), Data Center / Hosting Infrastructure. Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Customer-facing consulting experience. Solution Advisory and Technical Consulting. Presales support. RFP/RFI response experience. Executive presentations and customer workshops. Stakeholder management. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
