About the role
- Network Admin contractor supporting network refresh and rogue device removal. Fully remote within Ontario, 1PM-9PM EST.
Responsibilities
- This Network Admin will support on 2 projects: Network Refresh and Rogue device removal (help to remove unmanaged/unapproved devices that are currently on company’s network). Responsibilities include: Active Directory, ADFS, ADCS, DC Promo, GPO, RDS, VDi administration; troubleshooting Azure, AWS and Office365 cloud services; migrating on-premises systems to Azure and AWS cloud; using monitoring tools like MS Operations Manager, Nagios and Zabbix; network operations and access authentication; troubleshooting and managing Windows devices; working with DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, and other network fundamentals; scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Perl or Python.
Requirements
- Requirements: 4-5 years in a similar role; Computer Science Degree/Diploma (focus on Networking/Switching/Routing); Certification in Cisco CCNA or related discipline; ITIL service management certifications (asset); Experience with Fortinet products; Experience with Cisco Meraki product; Experience supporting network refreshes; Experience removing rogue devices from the network; Experience with networking equipment; Strong understanding of IT Security, Network policies, Network infrastructure design; Strong knowledge of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; Some experience with Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery best practices; Experience migrating on-premises systems to Azure and AWS cloud; Direct experience with monitoring tools like MS Operations Manager, Nagios and Zabbix; Ability to script common operational activities in PowerShell, Bash, Perl or Python.
