About the role
- Network Engineer role focusing on network security architecture and operations. Requires expertise in Checkpoint firewall, Zscaler, Cloudflare WAF, Aruba Clearpass, and providing L3 support.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Operations according to customer environment. Develop and implement network security architecture, policies, and procedures to protect against threats. Provide L3 level support on critical/Outage situations and drive end to end until resolution. Design, implement, and tune ZIA/ZPA policies. Resolve complex L2/L3 issues related to user connectivity, authentication, and access flows. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to network security infrastructure. Identify inefficiencies and potential solutions to improve efficiency. Own and drive improvements in Operations, technology, Advisory and customer satisfaction. Stay up to date on emerging security threats, technologies, and industry trends. Manage and mentor a team of network security engineers and analysts. Identify automation capabilities and deliver across multiple customer environments. Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports. Conduct internal training to address skill gaps and motivate technical certifications.
Requirements
- Minimum overall experience of 8-12 years. Minimum of 8 years' experience in Information Security. Minimum of 6 years' experience in running a Security Operations Center for a large organization. Mandatory skill set: Choice 1 – Firewall – Checkpoint, Web-security- Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA), NAC – Aruba Clearpass. Choice 2 – Firewall – Checkpoint, Web-security- Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA), WAF – Cloudflare. Good understanding of network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP). Strong expertise in implementing and maintaining Checkpoint firewall and associated software modules. Good working experience on checkpoint VPN (S2S & Remote access). Deep understanding of Cloudflare CDN and security solutions. Deep understanding of RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, EAP methods, and networking protocols. Experience with installation and configuration of ClearPass Policy Manager. Proficiency with Zscaler tools, packet capture analysis, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation. Deep understanding of Zero Trust Network Access, Firewalls, and IPSec/SSL VPNs. Experience with email security gateway platforms and investigation/remediation of malicious emails. Experience designing scalable infrastructure for email analysis with Abnormal AI tool. Cross-skilled across multiple technologies covering Firewalls, Web-Proxies, and cloud security products (AWS, Azure, GCP). Good command of English with excellent written and verbal skills. Proactive communication, highly organized, good time management. Works collaboratively, learns quickly, open and transparent style, goal-oriented approach.
