- Procom seeks a Senior Android Software Engineer (Kotlin) for a 12-month hybrid contract in Ottawa. Requires expertise in Kotlin, Coroutines, and modern Android development.
Responsibilities
- Procom is currently looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer (Kotlin) for our client in the private sector. THIS CONTRACT HAS A TBD START DATE AND GOES FOR 12 MONTHS LATER (GREAT CHANCE OF ONGOING EXTENSIONS). LOCATION: HYBRID (4 DAYS PER WEEK IN THE OTTAWA AREA). LANGUAGE: ENGLISH. REFERENCES: 2.
Requirements
- Mandatory Skills: Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android application development. Experience leveraging the Kotlin ecosystem to build type-safe, maintainable, and scalable applications. Advanced knowledge of: Coroutines, Flows (StateFlow and SharedFlow), Sealed classes, Scope functions. Strong understanding of: Clean Architecture principles, MVVM architectural pattern, Jetpack Compose, Modern Android development best practices. Experience: 6+ years of overall IT experience. 4+ years of software development experience. Practical expertise in multiple programming languages or advanced expertise in at least one language. Experience designing and delivering production-grade software applications. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
