About the role
- Senior Copywriter needed to create compelling digital content for email, CRM, and online banking. Contract role in Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
- Develop clear, compelling, and client-centric copy for digital channels including email, CRM, and online banking experiences. Translate strategic briefs into engaging messages supporting acquisition, engagement, and retention goals. Collaborate with designers, create subject lines, headlines, body copy, calls-to-action, and instructional content. Adapt messaging across channels while maintaining brand voice and consistency. Ensure compliance with brand standards, regulatory, legal, and accessibility requirements. Support agile squad delivery by contributing to multiple projects simultaneously. Offer input on creative direction and messaging strategies. Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, legal, compliance, and execution teams. Leverage best practices in digital communication, lifecycle marketing, and client experience design.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of copywriting experience, preferably close to 5+ years. Proven ability to craft effective 1:1 client communications and lifecycle messaging. Strong portfolio demonstrating digital writing skills (email, app, or client communications). Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with clear, concise, plain language. Experience working within cross-functional teams (design, strategy, marketing). Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Understanding of branding, compliance, and legal considerations in financial services. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive writing practices in Canada.
