About the role
- Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer with Windows/Azure expertise for a banking client. Design, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure solutions on Windows and Azure platforms. Automate deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Shell. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Nexus. Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, including MS SQL, SSRS, and SSIS, ensuring performance and reliability. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or Chef. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply fixes to ensure smooth operation of cloud and on-premise environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate applications and services into Azure cloud, ensuring best practices and security standards are met. Contribute to DevOps best practices, continuous improvement, and automation initiatives within the team. Document infrastructure setups, configurations, and operational procedures clearly and comprehensively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, and Windows server administration. Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation. Extensive experience with Azure services, including IaaS, and implementing Infrastructure as Code. Hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or Chef. Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting complex applications in cloud environments. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, and build automation. Solid understanding of database management, particularly MS SQL Server including SSRS and SSIS. Good troubleshooting skills and experience with infrastructure, service monitoring, and logging. Knowledge of big data technologies or data storage approaches is an asset. Nice to Have: Experience with QRM implementation. Background in cloud migrations and Azure-specific solutions. Strong organizational skills with an ownership mindset and the ability to work independently on high-complexity assignments.
