- Senior Java Full Stack Developer needed for banking applications in Halifax, NS. Must have 6+ years experience in Java, React.js, microservices, and DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable banking applications; build responsive frontend applications using React.js; develop backend services and APIs using Java and Microservices architecture; deploy and manage containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift (OCP); develop and optimize SQL queries for complex financial and transactional data; implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines following banking release governance standards; utilize Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring, audit logging, and compliance reporting; collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical banking solutions; support application security initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Java development within Banking or Financial Services; strong hands-on expertise in Java and React.js; experience with DevOps practices and mission-critical production environments; hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and containerized Microservices; strong SQL and database development skills; experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana); experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines; strong understanding of application security and compliance requirements; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
