About the role
- Solutions Architect for clinical IT initiatives (Labs, Imaging & Pharmacy). 100% remote within Canada with occasional travel to Saskatchewan. Contract role from April 2026 to March 2027.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective architecture solutions for clinical systems. Create architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). Provide technical leadership and guidance across the implementation lifecycle. Support the Architecture Review Board and present solutions. Ensure integration with existing systems while aligning with business & clinical goals. Define standards, best practices, and templates for the architecture team. Support risk management, compliance, vendor evaluations & technology selection.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computational Physics & Mathematics, Systems Science, IT, Engineering or Computer Science OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field + 3 additional years experience (total 7+ years as Solutions Architect). Minimum 4 years proven experience as a Solutions Architect supporting Clinical IT projects with focus on Labs, Medical Imaging, and Pharmacy. Expert in creating roadmaps, blueprints & ADRs. Strong knowledge of networking, storage, cloud, virtualization & security architecture. Experience with physical/virtual servers, Data Domain, Isilon, high-availability setups. Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives and technical teams. Excellent problem-solving and trade-off analysis under uncertainty.
