About the role
- Technical Lead Java (GCP) with 10+ years experience in Java, Spring Boot, GCP, Golang. Remote long-term contract for Canadian candidates.
Responsibilities
- Technical Lead role requiring deep Java expertise including JVM internals, concurrency, performance tuning, and enterprise design patterns. Extensive experience designing and building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot. Strong GCP experience particularly with GKE and cloud-native architectures. Proficiency in Golang for building high-performance concurrent services. Advanced database experience with SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Expertise in testing strategies, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD leadership, networking, security, infrastructure as code with Terraform/CloudFormation, GitHub collaboration, and agile delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years core experience. Deep Java expertise including JVM internals, concurrency, performance tuning, enterprise design patterns. Extensive Spring Boot experience for RESTful APIs and microservices. Strong GCP experience (GKE, cloud-native architectures). Golang proficiency. Advanced SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis experience. Testing strategy expertise (unit, integration, end-to-end). Docker and Kubernetes production experience. CI/CD pipeline ownership. Networking fundamentals and security best practices. Terraform or CloudFormation experience. Advanced GitHub usage. Agile delivery experience. Exceptional problem-solving skills.
