About the role

  • Developer Intern focusing on browser extension excellence at 1Password. Collaborating with various teams for scalable and robust feature development.

Responsibilities

  • Write efficient, scalable, and robust customer-facing features in one or more of our web or Rust tech stacks.
  • Collaborate with people across the company like Product Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, Quality Assurance, and other Software Development teams.
  • Focus on building and optimizing features in our extension as well as working with browser-specific APIs and behaviors (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
  • Focusing on extension performance, stability, and correctness

  • Humility: You're not afraid to ask "stupid" questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them).
  • Curiosity: You look for better ways of doing things, even if everyone seems happy with how they are.

  • Bonus points for: Someone interested in working in multiple tech stacks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. We’re a distributed team so written communication in particular is very crucial.
  • Someone who thinks about the impact of their work in terms of the end user.
  • Experience or interest in working with browser extensions
