About the role

Software Engineer II securing Abnormal AI customer data through authentication, governance, and auditability. Building cloud-based security solutions with Golang and Python for global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Implement rigorous security and privacy standards and robust governance practices
Design, develop, and refine platform solutions enforcing authentication, authorization, and auditability principles
Identify and address security vulnerabilities across the software development and operations lifecycle
Break down security and privacy challenges into practical technical solutions and lead implementation
Apply security principles and AI-native workflows to deliver technical solutions to end users and internal partner teams
Lead and deliver enhancements for the Data Security team
Design and implement customer data governance solutions enabling security and privacy by design
Reconcile platform, security, and privacy requirements to build a secure platform for global engineering teams
Collaborate cross-functionally with product engineering teams to integrate security and privacy best practices into a microservice architecture

2+ years of experience as a software engineer
Strong computer science and programming fundamentals
Experience with system design and cloud infrastructure
Experience with Golang and Python programming languages
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and data security/privacy problem spaces, best practices, and related technologies (nice to have)
Understanding of distributed computing, CAP theorem, and system design tradeoffs (nice to have)
BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field (nice to have)
