About the role
- Senior Cloud Security Engineer providing technical leadership in cloud security at Ada. Collaborating with product and engineering teams to ensure secure and scalable architecture.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across cloud security architecture, detection and response, and platform enablement.
- Own cloud security systems and architecture end to end.
- Partner closely with Platform and Product Engineering.
- Ensure that security controls are automated, scalable, and embedded into how Ada builds and operates its cloud environments.
- Act as the senior technical counterpart to engineering leadership and security leadership.
- Translate risk and compliance requirements into concrete engineering solutions.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or security engineering roles.
- Deep hands on experience with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
- Strong experience designing and securing cloud IAM, networking, and distributed systems at scale.
- Extensive experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience building or operating detection and response systems including SIEM and cloud security monitoring.
- Proven ability to translate compliance and risk requirements into technical implementations.
- Experience collaborating with platform, DevOps, and product engineering teams.
- Strong communicator who can influence architecture and engineering decisions across teams.
- Comfortable operating independently and owning long term technical initiatives.
