About the role

  • Account Manager managing renewals, expansion, and adoption for North American insurers using Akur8’s transparent insurance SaaS platform. Building executive relationships and account strategies from Montréal.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of North American clients, account plans, and commercial outcomes related to retention and growth
  • Build trusted customer relationships and create account plans connecting business priorities with Akur8 capabilities
  • Identify renewal and expansion opportunities in North America
  • Manage the customer lifecycle from initial handoff through renewal and expansion, focusing on adoption, business value, and customer experience
  • Map customer organizations and develop relationships with buyers, technical stakeholders, and C-level executives
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Actuarial, and Support teams
  • Develop deep knowledge of Akur8’s technical product and present it to business and technical audiences
  • Share customer feedback and contribute to product, onboarding, customer engagement, and account management process improvements
  • Travel to customer meetings, industry events, and team gatherings as needed

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B SaaS account management, customer success, consulting, technical sales, or a related commercial role
  • Proven ability to manage complex B2B accounts and build relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience with account mapping and developing relationships across key stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and execute account strategies throughout long, complex customer lifecycles
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and established account management or customer success processes
  • Curious about technology and willing to learn a complex product in depth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
  • Must possess employment status allowing work from the Montréal office
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
  • Insurance or life insurance industry experience is a bonus
  • Experience supporting customers in the US market is a bonus
