About the role

  • UKG Pro Payroll consultant supporting full-cycle HR/payroll implementations for global clients. Building a contractor bench for future engagements across the US, Canada, and Philippines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted consultant and guide for clients throughout UKG Pro implementations, focusing on the Payroll module
  • Support the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
  • Translate business requirements into documentation, project plans, functional specifications, and system solutions
  • Support data migration through data mapping, validation, testing, and conversion into UKG Pro
  • Manage multiple client deliverables, priorities, client relationships, and project timelines
  • Recommend best practices and consulting strategies to optimize UKG Pro environments and HR/payroll processes
  • Lead client meetings, workshops, training sessions, and presentations
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with full-cycle HR/payroll system implementations, with strong UKG Pro Payroll experience
  • Experience in a professional services, consulting, or client-facing environment
  • Demonstrated experience configuring, developing, testing, and supporting UKG Pro Payroll solutions
  • Strong technical skills, including SQL queries, basic scripting, and relational database concepts
  • Understanding of the software development/project lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation and rollout
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and ability to engage on a contract basis when a suitable client opportunity becomes available
  • Clearly defined current or upcoming availability, including expected notice period and potential contract start date
  • Ability to commit to agreed project schedules and deliverables once assigned
  • US and Canada candidates: ability to travel for client engagements as needed, up to 10%
  • Philippines candidates: remote position; travel is not required
  • Valid authorization to work in the respective country
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
