Responsibilities
- Prepare and process multi-jurisdictional payrolls for hourly, salaried, and commissionable employees
- Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations, auditing standards, and SOX controls
- Prepare and distribute payroll-related reporting in a timely manner
- Answer payroll and stakeholder questions in a customer-centric manner
- Perform payroll reconciliations
- Assist with year-end reporting requirements
- Extract, consolidate, and verify information from multiple systems for business review
- Participate in other projects and perform other duties as required
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working with multi-jurisdictional payrolls
- Working knowledge of various provincial employment standards
- Working towards or have attained the PCP designation through the National Payroll Institute
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
- Experience with large volume administration using T2200/TP64.3
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with WorkForce Now and/or other payrolling systems
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Comfort with data, data analysis, and data management
- Bilingualism would be an asset
