About the role

  • Bilingual Recruiter leading talent acquisition, employer branding and onboarding optimization for ALS, a scientific testing and data insights company. Supporting hiring across Canadian business units.

Responsibilities

  • Lead talent acquisition strategies and activities across Canadian business units
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and North American leadership to determine regional talent acquisition strategy
  • Establish and prioritize hiring needs with the HR team
  • Develop and maintain the employee value proposition and employer brand
  • Maximize and diversify applicant channels and source new applicant pools and platforms
  • Leverage social media accounts and create content to attract applicants
  • Review and optimize recruiting and onboarding processes
  • Maintain recruitment collateral in alignment with ALS branding standards
  • Assist with full recruiting activities for specialized or senior-level roles
  • Represent ALS at job fairs and recruiting events to network with potential candidates
  • Engage line managers and HR team members to improve the recruitment function
  • Monitor and report recruiting performance, including requisitions, applications, applicant flow and time to fill
  • Assess and optimize onboarding activities
  • Collect, collate and report Onboarding Survey data
  • Research market intelligence and emerging talent acquisition trends
  • Assist with Human Resources-related projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Completion of a university degree and/or college level Human Resources Management program or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in talent acquisition role
  • Fluency in English & French is required
  • Excellent understanding of full cycle recruitment processes and knowledge of best practices
  • Demonstrated success in proactive recruiting and sourcing diversified applicant pools
  • Experience defining the Employee Value Proposition and Employer Branding
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak in public and present information to groups
  • Superior computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and photo editing software
  • Exceptional creativity and demonstrated ability to proactively problem solve
  • Ability to travel locally without assistance
  • Ability to stand for a full shift
  • Ability to sit at a desk and perform general office work
  • CPHR designation is an asset
