About the role
- Technical Product Manager owning AltaML’s AltaForge applied AI platform roadmap. Driving technical discovery, agentic programming decisions, and developer-focused platform scalability.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical product roadmap for the AltaForge platform
- Make decisions about platform costs, capabilities, model trade-offs, performance, and sovereign-work execution
- Decide what becomes a shared library versus a one-off implementation
- Define how observability integrates into every solution
- Make technical decisions that scale the platform, serve clients, and enable the business
- Conduct technical discovery and research into product technical architecture with the team
- Vet technical products and frameworks
- Build quick spikes with AI tools to validate technical solutions
- Turn technical discovery findings into product decisions
- Identify trends in agentic programming and use them to inform the product roadmap
- Serve internal developers and engineers as platform users and incorporate their feedback
- Help ensure the platform is built for external clients
- Contribute to the agentic layer built over the company's tools
Requirements
- You have been a software engineer, with real systems shipped and maintained
- You have managed products already, from a technical perspective
- You have worked with agentic systems and LLM applications
- You have done observability, developer tooling, or platform work where your users are developers
- You work with AI tooling every day, including Claude, agents, and Claude Code
- You have made technology choices and lived with the consequences
- Real experience speaking with engineers and valuing their perspective
- Ability to explain a technical call to someone who is not a software engineer
- Experience with knowledge graphs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Experience working with Enterprise or Public Sector clients, including related security and procurement realities
