About the role
- Clinical Research Nurse overseeing participant safety, consent, and clinical procedures for Altasciences clinical trials. Maintaining protocol compliance, safety equipment, and adverse-event documentation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety and consent of clinical trial participants during study conduct
- Maintain safety equipment
- Execute tasks in compliance with study protocol, Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform scheduled inspection of emergency crash carts and maintain up-to-date records
- Ensure confidentiality of clinical trial participants and sponsors
- Perform continuous safety monitoring and safety assessments
- Administer Investigational Products (IP)
- Install catheters
- Monitor, document and/or follow up on participant adverse events
- Maintain and advocate patient care, quality, and safety
- Assist with study-related consenting and participant screenings
- Provide feedback on study progress
- Communicate issues and problem resolutions to supervisors and managers
- Train employees on clinical trial activities
- Complete other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- DEC from accredited Registered Nurse program required
- Permit from the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec (OIIQ) required
- Good communication in French and English
- Customer service focused
- Able to work in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the Microsoft suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills are required
- Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information
- Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities
- Availability every other weekend is required
- Fluency in English is an essential requirement
- Relevant industry experience a plus
