About the role
- General Kitchen Helper maintaining dishes, kitchen equipment, and sanitation at Aramark’s remote lodge near White River, Ontario. Supporting safe, clean lodge operations on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean dishes, serve ware, equipment, kitchen, and stocking areas
- Ensure dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain the dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, and related areas
- Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition and report issues to management
- Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
- Perform other serviceable duties as assigned
Requirements
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and walk or stand for extended periods
- May be required to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
