About the role
- Maintenance Worker repairing buildings and grounds at Aramark’s remote lodge in White River, Ontario. Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and scheduled equipment upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Support and perform maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds in a remote camp setting
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot construction and maintenance projects
- Maintain fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, and office equipment
- Inspect assigned areas routinely and perform maintenance to keep facilities functioning and serviceable
- Complete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists for scheduled building and equipment maintenance
- Report major maintenance needs and recommend corrective action
- Use equipment and tools efficiently and safely
- Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
- Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures
- Participate in required component and departmental training
Requirements
- Strong experience and familiarity with remote maintenance work required
- Previous maintenance experience preferred
- Driver’s license required
- Driver’s Abstract required
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
- Written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing
- May be required to wear uniforms and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
