Quality Manager overseeing Arcadis Canada’s QMS, ISO compliance, audits, and continuous improvement. Supporting sustainable engineering and consultancy solutions across Canadian operations.
Responsibilities
Manage most day-to-day QMS activities for Canada
Coordinate implementation, administration, and monitoring of global QMS governance and tools in Canada
Enforce established quality requirements and record exceptions
Recommend changes to Global Quality Leaders
Manage in-country quality management system and ISO certification
Ensure compliance with governmental, legal, statutory, and in-country legislative requirements
Implement, maintain, and control quality processes and procedures across functions
Support internal and external auditors
Manage non-conformance and corrective action systems
Implement continuous improvement processes and evaluate process KPIs
Ensure professionals are trained on the QMS and communicate quality management system changes
Identify and implement lessons learned
Maintain the country QMS iNet site
Report and trend quality KPIs for deviations, audits, corrective actions, and lessons learned
Monitor in-country cost of quality
Serve as management representative for ISO certification
Support implementation of Arcadis’s Global Integrated Management System
Work with the Global Quality Director to ensure consistency with Arcadis QMS governance
Manage QA resources and coordinate quality staff supporting projects
Report directly to the Global QMS Director and indirectly to the Country Director
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Management, Quality, or Business (preferred)
5–7+ years of progressive quality management or other applicable experience within a multinational engineering or professional services firm, including previous assignments in a related industry
Training in Change Management, Process Improvement, and Lean skills
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements and techniques relating to quality assurance and quality control programs
Knowledge of quality management systems and benchmarking principles, practices, techniques, and theories
Knowledge of quality process auditing principles, practices, techniques, and theories
Strong written and oral communication skills for explaining complex issues to diverse audiences
Time management and ability to multitask with competing priorities
Excellent decision-making capabilities and ability to handle conflicting priorities
ASQ Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification (preferred)
Certified Quality Auditor: ISO as appropriate
Certified Project Manager
Membership in the Project Management Institute or country equivalent
